Be Young, Be Citizen, Lecce (Italy)

Date and place: 23-29 October 2013, in Lecce, Italy

Description: “Be Young, Be Citizen” was an Partnership Building Activity involving 21 youth leaders and technicians from 8 European countries (Italy, Bulgaria, Latvia, Hungary, Turkey, Croatia, Portugal and Spain).

Objective: to create new partnerships for new projects under youth policy and active citizenship.
Participants discussed about the concept of European citizenship (rights, opportunities, obstacles) and about participation of young people through exchange of experiences and ideas. This exchange of practices and group dynamics led to the development of new projects and partnerships aiming to increase the participation of the youth in Europe and promote a more active and vibrant civil society.

Methods: non-formal education, open space sessions, team work, meeting with local community, sharing best practices and facilitating of new projects development.

Learnt Lessons in Youth Regional Cooperation, Mavrovo/Skopje (Macedonia)

Date and place: 9-17 October 2013 in Mavrovo and Skopje (Macedonia)

Description: the main objective of this seminar was to encourage and create opportunities for the representatives of the youth sector (policy-makers, researchers of the youth, young workers and youngsters) to share experiences and knowledge in youth cooperation, involving them in a dialogue to foster social cohesion in the European Union.
The seminar was attended by 36 countries including Albania, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Belarus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Malta, Macedonia, Moldova, Kosovo, Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom and Ukraine.

InterGenerations, Lecce (Italy)

Date and place: 13-19 March 2013 in Lecce (Italy)

Description: “InterGenerations” was a Partnership Building Activity which involved NGOs’ youth leaders and workers from 10 countries: Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden and Turkey.

The main objective of the meeting was to create new partnerships and international projects reflecting on the topic of dialogue between generations.
